Tensione të forta janë regjistruar në Beograd, ku një grup qytetarësh dhe protestuesish kanë hyrë në ambientet e televizionit “Informer”, një media e njohur për mbështetjen ndaj pushtetit të Aleksandar Vuçiçit. Ngjarja ka përfunduar me ndërprerjen e transmetimit të zakonshëm dhe largimin e drejtuesit të redaksisë dhe punonjësve nga studioja.
Sipas raportimeve të mediave serbe, qytetarët ishin mbledhur fillimisht jashtë godinës, përpara se një pjesë e tyre të hynte në redaksi gjatë transmetimit të emisionit ku ndodhej edhe kryeredaktori Dragan J. Vuçiçeviç. Brenda ambienteve pati përplasje verbale dhe debate të ashpra mes të pranishmëve dhe stafit të televizionit.
Protesta lidhet me pakënaqësinë ndaj mënyrës se si “Informer” ka raportuar për lëvizjen studentore dhe protestat kundër qeverisë. Media është kritikuar nga kundërshtarët e pushtetit për qëndrimet e saj editoriale dhe gjuhën e përdorur ndaj protestuesve.
Gjatë zhvillimeve, Vuçiçeviç kërkoi ndërhyrjen e policisë dhe ndihmës së shpejtë, ndërsa transmetimi i zakonshëm u ndërpre. Në vendngjarje mbërritën forcat e policisë, të cilat ndërhynë për të menaxhuar situatën dhe për të mundësuar largimin e personave nga godina.
Incidenti vjen në një klimë të tensionuar politike në Serbi, pas fitores së listës së mbështetur nga studentët në zgjedhjet parlamentare dhe pranimit të humbjes nga Aleksandar Vuçiç. Zhvillimet kanë shënuar një moment të rëndësishëm në politikën serbe, pas muajsh protestash dhe pakënaqësie ndaj qeverisjes.
Ngjarja ka rikthyer në vëmendje përplasjet mes lëvizjes protestuese dhe mediave që mbështesin qeverinë.
